The Jacobs Safari Company

After a fifteen year period of studying and teaching at two prominent South African universities Bosveld Jacobs started his hunting career in 1976. Following a spell of partnerships he founded Bosveld Jacobs Safaris in 1985. Both his sons, Henk and Riaan, grew up in the hunting milieu and today they happen to be formidable professional hunters.

Warm Home Hospitality

Our base camp in the malaria-free Limpopo Waterberg is filled with tranquility and hospitality. The entertainment area hosts a large open dining braai room, bar and true African lapa where we burn fires till late night, sharing our day’s experiences. Ice cold beverages, flaming camp fires, a star-covered sky and the distant call of a jackal or a predator will remind you there is no place like Africa. After indulging in Marcelle’s mouth-watering dishes, which often include a dish prepared from the hunt, you can end the fun-filled day in the comfort of one of our luxurious thatched roof, en-suite chalets. We also cater for special dietary requests.

Caring

Every one wants to eat but few are willing to hunt. The food security that professional hunting provides, particularly in areas where livestock-reared meat is expensive and difficult to access, is key to countering the misperception that professional hunting is a wasteful activity. We as hunters take our social responsibilities very seriously. It is estimated that professional hunting produces around 2.6 million tons of meat every year, a significant proportion of which is donated to schools, orphanages, old age homes and villages. Bosveld Jacobs Safaris do weekly meat and food contributions and donations to the local community. Everything we hunt get used.
